Balsamic Pickled Cherries

The Balsamic vinegar from these Pickled Sweet Cherries takes on a sweet cherry flavor and makes a tasty vinaigrette to drizzle over grilled pork tenderloin or a fresh garden salad.  The cherries are perfect for snacking, eating in a salad, piled on top of brined & grilled pork chops or over a toasted baguette slice topped with goat cheese (my favorite!).

Buy them ready made or try pickling them yourself with some fresh cherries.

Apple Chips

Even though we only have three apple trees, mother nature provides far more than our family can eat.

Since we were already drying cherries, we decided to dry the surplus apples as well.

Here is another natural food with absolutely no additives or preservatives.  Our apple chips are slightly tart and crispy.  Eat them as is or try them with Humus.

What a treat !!!    Good for you AND tastes great.

Get them at the Farm, Penticton Farmer’s Market or in Calgary.  Give us an email or text if you want them elsewhere in Canada.

Cherry Wood

What’s funny about the orchard is that not only does it produce cherries, but if you’re too nice to the trees, all they want to do is make wood.  We generate quite a bit of cherry wood every year that we sell as Smoker Bits, Pizza Oven Wood or Fire Wood.   Seasoned for at least a year, you’ll enjoy using cherry wood for it’s high heat, low ash properties and the nice fragrance it has as it burns.
